Additional Coverage Options
Major Medical Option - Deductible Applies - Includes Surgery
Provides limited coverage of reasonable and customary medical and surgical treatment necessitated by accident, injury, illness, or disease . All treatments must be conducted by a licensed veterinarian. Unavailable for race horses. Requires a Minimum Insured Mortality value of $2,500.
Guaranteed Renewal/Agreed Value: Guarantees mortality renewal for one year regardless of the health status of the animal. Not applicable for other coverages. Horse value is agreed at policy inception.
Surgical Only Option - Deductible Applies: Covers reasonable and customary treatment made by a licensed veterinarian for surgical procedures, made necessary by accident, injury, illness, or disease. Includes a limited amount for additional expenses relative to the surgical procedure.
Accidental Loss of Use #1 (N/A for Barrel & Roping use): Pays if the horse is injured by external, accidental and traumatic means and becomes totally and permanently unfit for use. Does not require destruction for humane reasons.
Loss of Use #2 (N/A for Barrel & Roping use): Pays if the horse becomes totally and permanently unfit for use from many causes. Does not require destruction for humane reasons. Requires x-rays for all horses and all values with views to include joints from the knees and hocks down, with the front shoes removed.
A S & D Stallion Infertility: Pays if stallion becomes totally and permanently infertile or impotent because of accident, sickness or disease. Company has right to take title and possession.
